On 30 July, A3ES and the Order of Engineers signed a cooperation agreement with the aim of strengthening coordination between the two institutions in the field of engineering programme assessment and accreditation and reinforcing their shared commitment of promoting Portuguese engineering at national and international level.

The protocol establishes a set of mechanisms that strengthen institutional cooperation through interaction in the recognition by A3ES of the Order of Engineers’ evaluations of engineering programmes, joint presence in international contexts in the context of promoting the quality of education, and the certification of the quality of engineering programmes across borders, under the EUR-ACE® label, the awarding of which in Portugal is the exclusive responsibility of the Order of Engineers.

The signing took place at the Order of Engineers in Lisbon, with the protocol being signed by the President of the Order of Engineers, Fernando de Almeida Santos, and the President of the Management Board of A3ES, João Pinto Guerreiro.
