New Study Programmes
The prior accreditation of new study programmes (NCE) is a necessary condition for the entry into service of a study programme. The general requirements for the accreditation of a study programme are:
- Its own educational, scientific and cultural project, appropriate to the objectives set for that study programme;
- Its own teaching staff, qualified in the area in question, and adequate in number;
- The human and material resources required to guarantee the level and quality of training, namely adequate teaching spaces, equipment, libraries and laboratories.
The study programmes leading to master’s and doctoral degrees also have special requirements for accreditation, as specified in the current legislation. Study programmes are accredited for a period of up to six years.
