A3ES has published another volume of A3ES Readings.
The study “O projeto Educação Doutoral em Portugal: Que Futuro?” by Maria Teresa Patrício, Susana da Cruz Martins, João Mineiro, João M. Santos, Leonor Duarte Castro and Patricia Silva Santos, sought to analyse the main changes, challenges and opportunities facing Portuguese higher education institutions in the development of doctoral programs.
The development of doctoral education in Portugal has been clear on both the supply and demand side, and many of the Portuguese reforms seem to be in line with the European agenda and dynamics. The expansion of this study programme, especially in the last two decades, has resulted in greater diversification, as well as a broadening of its audiences, experiences, practices and expectations.
